This web site was created for B.J. Berkhouse. A place where people can learn about B.J., his current condition, and the many ways that we can help him and his family at this time.
On June 7th, 2008 B.J. was simply walking on a sidewalk in Charleston, WV when a woman driving while intoxicated, drove over the curb and hit him with her car. Charges were filed against the woman, she recently pled guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Her sentencing hearing is set for June 3rd, 2009. B.J. was very badly injured and spent quite some time in critical condition. B.J. has no medical insurance and so far the woman that hit him has turned over no proof of insurance to the police or to B.J.'s family. So B.J. needs our help. A fund was started at BB&T to help with B.J.'s medical needs and there are other fundraisers going on in the area. If you can, please try to help. B.J. has a long road ahead of him and he needs all the prayers and support that we can give him.
