B.J. Berkhouse - How to Donate Online

Due to a number of requests asking for a way to donate to help B.J. via the website, we are happy to announce that you can now do just that!

Simply click on the Donate button below and enter any amount that you would like to donate, to help pay for B.J.'s recovery.

The funds received are set up to be deposited to the BB&T fund for B.J.

We are running this through PayPal, but a PayPal account is *not* required to donate. You can use this link to donate using a PayPal account if you wish, or the link will also accept any major credit card, bank card, or even e-check or bank transfer.

As you know, B.J. has no health insurance and so far the woman that hit him has shown no proof of insurance to the police or to B.J.'s family. B.J. has been hospitalized for over a month now and is making progress, but he needs our help to keep receiving the treatment that he desperately needs.

If you have never used PayPal before and you would like a more in depth explanation of how to donate without a PayPal account, simply follow the directions below:

When you click on the Donate button above and the new page loads, enter the amount that you would like to donate and click "Update Total". Then a new page will load. On this page you will see a place to log into your PayPal account on the right, but if you do not have a PayPal account, that is fine! Simply look to the area near the bottom left of the page where it says, "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account." and click the word "Continue" that is right beside of that sentence.

The rest is very simple, it will take you to a screen where you enter your billing information and then you click "Review Donation and Continue", which will take you to a summary page that simply shows your information and the fund's and asks you to confirm the donation amount that you have specified. When you click "Donate (your donation amount) USD now" (USD simply stands for US dollars.) Then you are taken to the last page that gives you your Confirmation number for the transaction, and a page that you can print as a receipt. A receipt will also be sent to the email address that you listed when you made the donation.
