As this site is growing I
am realizing the need to occasionally communicate something to the readers
of this site directly on the website. This page is where I will post
those messages.
Saturday June 20th, 2008 This week www.bjberkhouse.com came up for renewal. Can you believe it's been a full year? There have been a lot of changes this year for B.J. He has came so very far, thanks in large part to the prayers and support of his family and friends. They are currently trying to raise money to help B.J. get into a rehab facility that would help him go even father in his rehabilitation. So we aren't giving up on him or this website. I know I haven't had quite as many things to post around here lately, but that doesn't mean people aren't sticking it out and standing by B.J. for the long haul. On that note, I have of course renewed the domain for another year and I hope you all will continue to support the site and B.J. as he never gets to forget for a day. This is something that he faces every single day of his life. So let's not forget that, or forget him. He still needs our support and encouragement. B.J. is a fighter and he's not quitting and neither are we. Thank you
all for still being here.
Tuesday November 18, 2008 I'd like to make another request that the organizers of past events please send me some sort of follow up as to how the events went, etc. So that we can post that information to the website. I know we are all very busy, but even just a few sentences would be nice. If you send photographs, please take a moment to include some information with them, as many people would like updated on how things went and I cannot post information that I do not have. Also if you send photos please send them in a size large enough for web use. Thank you!
Tuesday July 8th, 2008 I am so happy to announce that Chad has set up the PayPal account, and I have added the information to the website. We are now able to accept donations to help B.J. online !!! We've had a lot of requests for this during the time we were working on setting it up, so I am really hoping that people will continue to be generous and help B.J. through this difficult time. He needs this medical care. He is making progress, but he must continue to receive the medical care that he needs to save his life, and help him get better. We want B.J. to have his life back! And he needs all the help we can give him right now. The online donation is set up to be deposited into the BB&T fund for B.J. Friday July 4th, 2008 I am looking for some volunteers. We need people who can take along a digital camera to the fundraisers and email me photographs from the events. We will use some or all of these photos on this website. So if you're going to an event and you are willing to take some pictures while you are there, please do so and send me what you have. Thursday July 3rd, 2008 You may
notice that there are some changes in the works around here. I am in
the process of adding several new pages and some new navigation, to
accommodate the growth of this website. I apologize for the slight
delay in posting some of the new submissions recently. Typically
since the creation of this website I have posted new items the same day
that I received them. And I have continued to do that with any
updates on B.J.'s condition. But this site is now generating a lot
of mail/info/etc. And sometimes it takes awhile to get caught up on
the rest. This past week my electric was out for two days from a
storm. When my electric came back on, I had 42 emails from B.J.'s
website during that time! Please know this is not a
complaint! I think it is wonderful and amazing that so many
people care about B.J. and want to help in any way that they can.
And I want you to keep them coming! I just want you to also know
that there is a lot going on behind the scenes of this website that
doesn't make it onto the pages, but has a lot to do with the running of
things around here. So if you send me a message/photo/info./etc. to
post here and it isn't always up on the very same day anymore... now you
know why. I think it's really something what all has been accomplished in such a short amount of time, due to so many people working and praying together towards the same goal. I want to thank all of you for your amazing and ongoing support of B.J. And I would also like to thank you for all of the kind and supportive messages that I have received in regards to running this website. Your words are very much appreciated and very encouraging.
